A desktop mail client for people who do not want a browser tab.
Rivet is a native desktop email and calendar client for Windows, macOS and Linux. It is the earliest thing in the suite, and the only honest description of it right now is that the window opens.
An early scaffold. It builds and opens a window, and that is genuinely all it does today — there is no mail in it yet. It is on this site because it is being built, not because you can use it.

Native, not a website in a frame
Rivet is a real desktop application. It starts quickly, uses the memory a mail client should use, and behaves like the rest of the operating system it runs on.
Your mail on your machine
Messages are stored locally and indexed for search, so the mailbox works on a train and a search returns before you finish typing.
One client for the accounts people actually have
The plan is for ChainMail, on-premises Exchange and Microsoft 365 to sit side by side in one window, because most people migrating have more than one for a while.
Built on a long-term base
Qt 6 with long-term support, and a single codebase for all three platforms, so the Linux build is not an afterthought.
Listed so you can decide with the whole picture rather than discover it after signing.
